Build Your Own Blogging Network

January 28th, 2012

Lately I’m administering quite a few blogs to promote my own website, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, its a fact that WordPress is wonderful for automated posting, managing and much more, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.

Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, and I think its not a patentable idea, the existence of blog networks already says it all, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, probably I will have to pay quite dearly to have my sites promoted.

Its quite difficult to manage more than a few blogs manually, if you’re not going to just put spams on them,to write interesting content is always time consuming, remember real value is always difficult to achieve. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, look at this one, tire chain installation, the domain name is pretty good, and it has a lot of interesting posts, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. One more example, Cut Cost for Me, this is a themed blog, all posts are following the same theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. Its easy to show more similar sites, but you should already see the point. Last but not least, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, let them get some content occasionally, such as this blog, Cut Cost for Me, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.

After you successfully build a few blogs, add more blogs when you can, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. This is just an idea, it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
